Business-Work-Ware is a professional software solution for electronic document and records management. It provides the facilities for storing all types of information, from scanned paper document images to electronic files, e-mails and e-mail attachments. All files are securely stored in their natural format and once registered can be forwarded and shared for work-flow purposes. Files cannot be changed subject to permissions given from the administrators screen. The filing model allows tactical localised scanning and local department or workgroup registering to take place, avoiding the ‘choke-points’ of centralised scanning, although centralised scanning is supported too. Security is a major feature and helps avoid lost documents and controls who has access. The system is based on mainstream Microsoft* technologies of networking and server security for maximum compatibility with the vast majority of organisations and their existing investment in Information Technology.
